With versatility and multi-genre talent, performing in a vast array of musical situations has been the norm for this drummer. From Pop, Funk, Blues & Hard Rock to Jazz & Jawaiian, 'T' seems to have it covered. He once successfully played a dinner music lounge gig, a dance cover band gig and performed with his Seattle original Hard Rock band all in 24 hours. That is fun work!
T Rex's sound was once referred to as a stylistic blend of Bonham fused Copeland in a music review from The Rocket (Seattle'98). Rex adds, mostly now I like to just focus on the groove and being in the pocket." From performing on the inter island cruise ship Constitution, the Shrine Circus, on stage everywhere or in the studio wherever possible, being in the now and making it happen is what's up for this creative musician.
Actively teaching, playing, recording, producing and publishing internationally based in the Eagle County Colorado area. "There are a lot of new and exciting things going on in the music business right now. But nothing compares to the feeling of performing live, it's the best!"
T Rex is an acomplished Drummer, Musician, Producer and Educator. Born in Auburn, Washington with rural Mississippi southern family roots. Rex grew up predominately in Maui, Hawaii where multi-cultural blending is the norm. Growing up immersed in music, he got his first guitar at age 6, then drumset at 8 years old when his parents grew tired of makeshift drum kits put together with dishes, boxes and coffee cans.
There was no denying his inner rhythm and destination as a drummer.
